Background
Pen Store was founded in 2010 by Jacob Bergström as an online store. Over time, Pen Store expanded to a physical location in Södermalm, Stockholm. Since then, the brand has made an indelible mark on the Nordic market with its deliveries of pens and art supplies for artists.
Today, Pen Store boasts an impressive inventory of more than 13,000 unique items, ranging from individual pens and brushes to canvases and easels. Their well-stocked assortment of "tools for creativity" is swiftly delivered, coupled with a focus on excellent customer service, which has helped them cultivate a loyal customer base. You can find Pen Store's warehouse in Västberga, south of Stockholm.

Solution
Pen Store chose Bitlog WMS because the platform could provide all the e-commerce features they needed without any customization required.
Being cloud-based, Bitlog is continuously updated based on user feedback, ensuring a future-proof solution that is easy to scale.
Integrating Bitlog with their webshop and ERP (business system) was quick and easy, and the intuitive Bitlog app made it easy for their staff to learn. In just a few days, the Pen Store team was ready to master the art of working digitally in their warehouse.

Result
By switching to Bitlog WMS, Pen Store achieved many of the goals they had set for their inventory management and discovered some unexpected ways to utilize the platform.
Despite selling a wide range of fine paper for artists, Pen Store has eliminated paper picking lists in the warehouse. Bitlog's tablet app guides the staff through the warehouse and supports batch picking (picking multiple orders), which has significantly shortened the picking time per order.
Faster and more accurate goods receipt is another area where Pen Store has achieved some of its biggest gains with Bitlog. Instead of manual data entry, the warehouse team can now simply scan the barcodes on incoming goods and place them in the right place in the warehouse.
When it comes to outgoing orders, barcode scanning during picking helps ensure that the right product is sent to customers. The inventory balance is updated automatically, saving a lot of time on inventory checks and helping to minimize the risk of selling something that is not in stock via the webshop.
